Spring Cleanup Registration  2019

Spring Cleanup is the first of 2 annual large-scale cleanups on the American River Parkway. 500+ volunteers join us to clean up at 8+ sites on the 2nd Saturday in April.

American River Parkway Foundation cleanups remove mass amounts of debris from the Parkway in just a few hours, making the Parkway a more enjoyable and safe space, protecting the river ecosystem, and improving water quality.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
ARPF volunteer events are subject to cancellation in the case of weather, flooding, and other natural causes for the safety of our volunteers. Cancellations will be posted on the ARPF calendar at least 24 hours before the event start time, and all registered volunteers will receive an email notification.

Family/kid friendly sites: Discovery Park, Cal Expo @ Ethan Way, Watt Ave @ La Riviera Dr, River Bend Park, and Sunrise Recreation Area
These sites have lots of trash and are great for all volunteers, including families with kids. All youth volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
18 or older sites: Steelhead Creek, Northgate Blvd and Howe Ave @ La Riviera Dr
These sites are great for volunteers age 18 or older who want to make a huge impact on the amount of trash being removed from the Parkway.

Youth Volunteers:
Youth volunteers are welcome at most ARPF volunteer events. Any minor younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult AND must have a youth liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Minors age 16 and 17 can attend volunteer events unaccompanied, but must bring a youth liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

What you need to know to come prepared:
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:
Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. If you have your own thick gardening gloves, please bring those. ARPF will provide latex gloves, trash bags, water, and snacks. We always encourage volunteers to carpool if possible.

YOUTH WAIVER:
Please bring youth waiver filled day of the cleanup event.

PARKING:
No parking passes will be distributed. All Parking will be free from 8:30 am to 12:45 pm.
