With a spirit of giving and service, all volunteers set the mood and tone of the LLCEC. All LLCEC facilitators, support staff and directors will embody "In lak ech" / "Tu eres mi otro yo" meaning they will help serve the new participants by being welcoming of all, by being inclusive and supportive of all campers, staff and community members, by paying attention to announcements and schedules, by being on time, by being respectful of all presenters and instructors, and by enacting self-care by getting rest in the evenings and asking for help when needed. Volunteers should be motivated out of a desire to grow as a leader, to learn, and to serve others.
