What is the PTO?
What is the PTO you ask? PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization. It consists of parents, teachers, principals, and others in our community working together to support and enrich all of our students at Hofius Intermediate. The PTO supports the school staff, helps to promote student self esteem, and assists in efforts to solve some of the schools additional needs not provided by the state through volunteering and funding.

Who can be a member? How?
The PTO is made up of several officers, school staff and volunteers. So who can be a member? If you are a parent, legal guardian, adult relative of a child or children enrolled at Hofius Intermediate or a faculty or staff member of the school who is willing to uphold the policies of this organization and agree to its By-Laws, then YES, we would like for you to become a member. How does one become a member? You can become a member by filling out the membership form either paper or electronic, paying the membership fee, coming to meetings and/or joining a committee! We have different levels to fit your needs. Members shall have voting rights, upon payment of dues and have one vote per household. Sponsorships of families is permitted.

PTO Fundraising and Accomplishments
Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and to benefit the school. To meet this important objective, we fundraise. And by fundraise we don’t mean you have to sell anything. We create experiences. Here are a few ways we support our schools: Volunteers, Teacher Grants, Wish lists, Luncheons, 8th Grade Appreciation, and much more!

Become a Volunteer… Why YOU should get involved!!!
As you can see we are a small and busy group! This is where you come in!!! We need YOUR HELP and so does your child(ren)!!! This is also a great way to be more social and meet other parents with similarly aged children!!! The PTO needs you and your new ideas! We are very welcoming! We can’t do this without all of you!!!

The Hofius Intermediate PTO is a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, school administration/staff and interested community members.

PTO Membership is easy and low cost. No commitment or expectations required, you’re simply showing your support for our great students, school, parents and staff. The vision of the Hofius Intermediate PTO is to provide an effective resource for Hofius parents and teachers in order to support the goals we share in educating our children.

The 2019-20 family membership cost to join the Hofius PTO is as low as $10. These funds go toward programs for the students such as 8th Grade Appreciation, teacher hospitality, supplies & much more!

Cash or Check: Payable to “Hofius PTO.” Return to your child’s Hawks Nest Teacher or to the school office in an envelope labeled “PTO Membership.”
Venmo – pay securely online using your credit/debit card on your Venmo account to hofiuspto@gmail.com make sure to reference your student's name in the "What's it for" spot.
