Expression of interest for Erasmus+ SAFER project training for teachers

Where and when:
Part I:  5th – 11th of May 2019, in Villa Elba, Kokkola, Finland
Part II: 5th – 9th of November 2019, in Ljubljana, Slovenia

Course description: The course provides the participants with new, practical methods and tools to tackle hate speech, racism and other forms of discrimination in a school setting. The SAFER course focuses on the school culture and environment, giving the teachers skills and competences to be able to create safer spaces, build equality and introduce antiracist practices in their work. The course is suitable for all teachers from early childhood education and care to upper secondary education. In addition to the trainings, the participants will get access to a web course, a tool kit of methods and tools, and support from a local mentor trained to tackle hate speech and discrimination in schools.

The course is free for participants and includes training materials, accommodation, food and travel costs. Each participant is responsible to take care of travel insurance for themselves.
