Green Acres Day Camp 2021
We are looking forward to another year of great day camps. Fresh air, friends and ponies. What more could you ask for. We are cautiously optimistic that by summer Covid will be under control enough that continuing masks and social distancing we will have another great summer . I am going to open the camp up with a limited number being "in" definitely and then putting more on a waiting list. We are going to open it to 8 and then put 4 on a waiting list and if it feels doable we will open it to 12. We will email you if you are in for your dates in which you can send in your deposit- via check or venmo.

For those that have horses at the barn. No child is allowed to be left at the barn unattended. They must either be in a program, working or have an adult watching them. This for safety and organization.

General Program and Schedule
Campers will learn about safety in a barn and around horses. Campers will learn how to handle, groom, tack up a horse and learn basic riding skills. We handle all levels and divide riders up accordingly. The morning ride is a more formal lesson while the afternoon riding session is games, bareback or a trail ride. We have great lesson horses that have been a part of the program for years. Other activities include arts and crafts, outdoor games, water games and general farm fun. Children will learn how to clean a stall and take care of horses.

We offer half day and full day hours. We also are flexible as far as days. You do not have to do a complete week.

Half day: 9-1 $50.
Full day: 9-4 $70. Early drop off is available. Formal riding activities will be done by 3:00 for earlier pick up
Please pack your child with a water bottle and snacks and lunch if they are here till 4:00. The kids are busy and usually get very hungry.
Please have your child come in the morning dressed for riding- pants, and boots. Bring shorts and sneakers to change into when it's hot.
Please send your child with a folding chair to have as their own and a plastic bin to store their stuff in. The bins can stay for the week if you'd like. The bins will be to store all their stuff in to prevent people from touching other people's stuff.

We have hand sanitizer- please pack your child a mask. We will remind kids to hand sanitize but please also stress to them the importance.
We are trying to keep everything out in fresh air as much as possible.

If anybody in your house or you have been in contact with has been sick please stay home. We will credit you for those days.
Please take temperatures before coming.

We are looking forward to a fun summer.
Occasionally we do popsicles, ice cream or other treats. Please talk to the instructor on drop off if there is an issue with your child eating these.

If your child has an allergy and has an epi-pen we will need to know where to locate it or we can store it in my desk.
