2024-2025 Winkley Elementary PTA Board Nominations & Chair/Committee Interest Form
According to our PTA Bylaws, in order to be considered for service, board members and chairs shall have served no more than two consecutive terms in the same position. Executive board members and chairs shall also:

1. subscribe to, believe in and support the mission, purposes and policies of National PTA and Texas PTA;
2. be a member of this PTA within 30 days of the start of the membership year in which they serve;
3. receive no compensation from the association except reimbursement for reasonable expenses as set for in PTA policies and procedures;
4. not be employed by, or under contract to this PTA
5. serve in only one capacity

Terms of office are one year. Positions may only be filled by one person (no co-chairs).

The below positions are appointed by the new PTA President within 30 days of election, and subject to approval of the new board. Select one of these positions if you would like the newly elected President to know your interest in the role. All positions listed below serve on the Executive Board and attend board meetings. Additional standing chair positions may be determined by the new President with board approval.
The following chair positions are typically available, and are subject to change by the new board. There may be new opportunities to get involved at a later date. To let the new board know you are interested in serving in any of these roles, please select one or more that interests you.
Please select any committees that interest you. As a committee member, this allows you to be involved in the planning, but not responsible for the overall event. This is an opportunity to gain experience. You may be involved in multiple committees throughout the school year. Board members and chairs can serve on committees.
