The Boite proudly presents Suitcase, a series of events that offers musicians from all over the world an opportunity to be heard in a city that abounds with diversity, but has limited outlets for showcasing it musically.
Unlike most open mic events, these do not adhere to a particular genre or style. They are about recognising the invaluable heritage that musicians carry with them as they move from one place to another, and celebrating the creative contribution that every one of them brings to the musical landscape of Melbourne.
In 2021, the events will run on the second Wednesday every month (August to December), online and when possible at Open Studio (204 High Street, Northcote). They are free to attend (pay as you feel to support Open Studio) and to perform in.
You are invited to perform a 15-minute (unpaid) set. Please register your interest through the form below and we will contact you to confirm your allocated time. Participants will be contacted in order of registration. When a session fills up, your name will stay on file and be rolled over to the next one.
