Paani Areas of Impact
Education committee focuses on different member-focused education projects that offer an avenue to create tangible impact. There are currently three projects the Education committee will tackle this year: curriculum-development for partner elementary schools in Pakistan, app development for Slum Schools in Pakistan, and journal/blog development.
Finance & Fundraising
Finance/Fundraising committee focuses on engaging in fundraising activities in order to support the services and programs of Paani, to fill grants for the organization, to solicit donations from funding sources, and solicit the membership for ideas and support for fundraising activities.
Strategy & Operations
The Strategy & Operations Committee focuses on assisting the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities relating to long-term strategy for Paani, risks and opportunities relating to strategy, and strategic decisions regarding projects. The committee also provides review, guidance and oversight for the overall operations of the organization.
Partnerships focuses on creating and managing valuable nonprofit partnerships for Paani that can be utilized to create impact globally. These partnerships are meant to be avenues to improve the execution of Paani's international projects
Some examples of partnerships Paani has established include
-The Hassan Foundation: a Michigan-based non-profit that aids in the construction of wells in Pakistan
-Baitulmaal: a Texas-based non-profit with international presence Paani has used to facilitate projects
The Outreach committee focuses on managing external communication, establishing relationships with individuals within our target audience, organizations and others. The Outreach team serves as the first point of contact between Paani and other parties.
The Marketing committee handles public relations, communications, advancement and external affairs. The committee works in developing and implementing marketing strategy, creating flyers and virtual components for events,
collaborate with board members on program marketing strategies, and managing social media presence.
