National Science Bowl: SCSEA Regional NSB Registration
The SCSEA Florida Regional competition is limited to a total of 20 teams. Pre-registration for the first team from each school will be open on a first-come, first serve basis. If 20 teams have not pre-registered and paid their registration fee by January 30th, second teams will be accepted in the order that they were registered on the SCSEA website. If you would like to 'get in line' for a second team, you must register your second team on the SCSEA website--the time and date stamp of the second registration will determine your place in line for any openings.

The registration fee is $40. per team and must be received (either check or school purchase order) by February 17th. Please remember that you must register your teams on both sites – the SCSEA website (http://www.spacecoastscience.org) and the National Database (https://science.energy.gov/wdts/nsb/regional-competitions/middle-school-regionals/fl_scsea-florida-regional-middle-school-science-bowl/ ).

Note that clubs and teams made up of students from more than one school are not allowed anymore, and parents that organize a team must have a principal's signed agreement that they are representing the school.

National Competition: The Department of Energy is hosting the national final. The winning teams from both the Middle School and High School regional competitions will be sent to the combined national event in Washington, D.C., April 26 – April 30, 2018. Travel and lodging will be covered by the DOE for five team members and one mentor/teacher. Because no substitution of team members is allowed between the regional and national event, if the team has an alternate, the alternate must participate at the Regional Competition. It is imperative that the coach discuss the possibility of winning a trip to the national event with their administration; it is also imperative that the students discuss the possibility with their parents prior to the regional event. The winning team must be able to send four members to Washington to be able to compete in the Nationals.
