2020 Women in the Arts Competition-PART I

Women in the Arts, Inc. invite professional female artists to submit their work for the 2020 Women in the Arts competition "Celebrating the Genius of Women" at the Orlando Public Library. Finalists will be chosen from the entries submitted.
Selected art will be featured in the upcoming 9th. Annual Celebrating the Genius of Women exhibition at the Orlando Public Library in March and April 2019. Local finalists will be eligible for up to $2,500.00 in cash prizes and in-kind awards. The Awards event is March 28.
U.S. and International Artists
Women in the Arts, Inc. invite professional female artists to submit their work for the 2020 Women in the Arts competition "Celebrating the Genius of Women" at the Orlando Public Library. Selected work will be part of the on-site digital exhibition at the 9th. Annual Celebrating the Genius of Women at the Orlando Public Library in March and April 2020. Honorees will be recognized at the awards event on March 28. In-kind awards apply.

Four different works are required to enter.
Open to professional women artists. Must be 18 years of age and above to enter.
Previous winners and honorees, board, and staff of Women in the Arts and OCLS are not eligible to enter the competition. Past winners and honorees are recognized at the portrait gallery exhibition and are invited to join the celebrations at the awards event on March 28.
Open theme with preference to works inspired by or representing the following key-words: Women, dignity, courage, joy, service, faith, suffering, healing, hope.
All media. Drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, digital art, media art, installations, jewelry, and sculpture.
Save each image file to include your last name, title, media, and dimensions as this example: LASTNAME.TITLE.MEDIA.36x36.
Do not provide the image description separately. In order to be accepted each image file name should be saved as indicated. Women in the Arts reserves the right to reject a winning entry if the image submitted misrepresents the original piece.
Sculpture: Max. dimensions to fit in display case are 12" x 24" (base) x 14" tall and 11" x 45" (base) x 60" tall. Larger sculptures will be considered as installations. Save image file name including height, width, depth LASTNAME.TITLE.MEDIA.HxWxD
