- 2 year olds are entitled to 15 hours free childcare from April 2024 if both parents are working
- 3 year olds (from the term after their 3rd birthday) are entitled to 15 free hours, and if both parents are working and qualify they can apply for 30 hours of funding

Absence Policy: 

If your child is unable to attend Preschool due to illness, holidays or occasional days off you will still be required to pay for the unattended sessions. There are of course exceptions; please therefore discuss any long-term absences with the Pre-school leaders or a Committee member.

Illness Policy: 

To prevent the spread of infection, please do not bring your child to Preschool if they have had sickness or diarrhea within the previous 48 hours.

Child Protection Policy:

The authorities requires us to report any obvious or suspected case of child abuse - which includes non-accidental injury, severe physical neglect, emotional abuse, and/or sexual abuse. This procedure is intended to protect children at risk, and we are encouraged to take the attitude that where there are grounds for suspicion it is better to be safe than sorry.

This response does mean that we risk upsetting some parents by reporting a case that, on investigation, proves unfounded. It is hoped that parents appreciate how difficult it is for us to carry out this delicate responsibility, and accept that we were acting in what were believed to be the child’s best interest.

Foxton Pre-School also requests that you give your consent for first aid to be administered as required.
