Rain Barrel Reservation - McGolrick Park
Join Council Member Lincoln Restler’s Office for a free rain barrel giveaway with NYC Department of Environmental Protection. Rain barrels can connect directly to your property’s gutter or downspout to capture and store the rainwater that falls on your rooftop. DEP Rain barrels come with an installation kit and instructions. Rain barrels help conserve water for gardening and cleaning, reduce harmful runoff, and help you save on your water bill! 

All rain barrels have been reserved however, we frequently have many no shows. Please sign up to be on the waitlist below and we will begin handing out to that list at about 1:00pm on Sunday. 

We will email the waitlist at 12:45PM to give you a sense of how many we have left so that you do not waste your time.

The DEP rain barrels are about 24" x 40" and weigh approximately 18lbs when empty.
