BAYAN Oregon, Kabataan Alliance Oregon and Malaya Movement Portland are excited to present a "talakantahan" in recognition of International Human Rights Day 2024: Songs and Stories from the Homeland: Boldly Grow and Strengthen the Mass Movement Fighting for the Liberation of the Philippines.

Talakantahan is a play on the Tagalog words for “discussion” and “singing.” We will be using song and an interactive report-back to share about our experiences and the struggles and resistance we witnessed during 5 different immersion trips in our inang bayan (motherland).

Appetizers will be available on a sliding scale basis.

TIME: Doors open 6pm, 6:30pm-8:30pm

TICKETS: $5-10 sliding scale. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
