Alternative Breaks Application 2024-2025
Thank you for your interest in Alternative Breaks. Alternative Break empowers UConn students to engage and work towards justice with different communities through education, service, and reflection. Student participants gain awareness through educational meetings about the social issue related to their program, and further engage with the issue alongside community partners working to address the social inequity.

UConn Storrs students are eligible to apply for financial assistance. Upon acceptance to the program, you will receive an email with instructions on how to apply for financial assistance, if needed. We also are working with Regional Campuses to hopefully support funding for Regional Campus students participant costs. Financial need is not known during the selection process for the Alternative Break program. 

Your application will be reviewed by the Student Program Directors associated with the social topic(s) you express interest in on your application. After this initial application, you may be contacted for an interview.
