2026 Class Policy: Sign Once in Calendar Year

Class policies are general rules and expectations so all students have a smooth and ruffle free experience.  Most of these, as repeat students, you are familiar with:

Entrance/Exit:  The rear door of the premises that backs onto Marvin Place is where there is municipal parking.  Don't park on the inside of the guardrail since this is for other businesses.  Please make sure to pick up after your dogs after you potty in the area.  We’ll have a poop bin by the door.  If the outer door is closed: class is in session.  If the outer door is open, you may enter.

Give exiting dogs time to clear the door and walk through the parking area.

Crates: Crates are provided and depending on student preference, we will add more.  If you prefer to use your own crate, you may store it with us as long as it is foldable.  All crates after use need to be wiped clean of crumbs/water/and excessive hair, especially before storage or next class.

All dogs will be crated during class.

Water:    We have water on premises but please bring your own dog bowl.

Space between dogs:  Even if your dogs are best friends with another student, when coming in and out of the building please give each other space - 8ft at least.  Nose Work is a high value sport and dogs can get aroused.  As per NACSW expectations, all dogs should be given space regardless of reactivity.  We want to keep everyone at a calm happy level!

Illness:  If you believe your dog might be ill, has a cough, bleary eyes, runny nose etc., keep them home.  With the respiratory and other viruses, keeping exposure to a minimum is best.  Same for us.  Crates are disinfected after class.

Dogs in Season: They may come to class but must be wearing panties.

Number of Teams in Class

For classes where two instructors are present, we will accept 6-7  teams if the season cooperates.
For classes where one instructor is present, 5 teams per class would be a maximum.
If only two teams sign up for a class, we will work to find a class to transfer you to.  Generally, at least 4 teams per class is optimum.

Drop-Ins, Make-ups and Credit:

Class drop ins are $45

Make-up:  If you miss a class, you can do a make-up if there is room in the class of your choice. Or, you may be given another option if that one is full.  One make-up per session.

Credits:  If class is canceled due to weather / illness etc. You will get a credit for that class if a make-up is not feasible.

Payment of Tuition

All payments need to be submitted by or at the first day of class.

Photo/Video:

We do video classes from time to time for your use, some of those videos are useful for education sharing or media sharing.  An effort is made to adjust those clips / photos to focus more on the dog and to remove faces from them.

Please print your name in agreement:
