The Institute of Impacted Leaders is a 12-week training course that teaches impacted people how to activate their political power as they learn the CA state legislative process, how to propose and change state legislation, and how to organize their communities to end mass incarceration in CA. The only requirements to apply for an institute cohort is that you be directly impacted by incarceration - either formerly incarcerated or supporting a loved one(s) who is incarcerated, and you are interested in learning how to advocate for the freedom of all people.

Future cohorts are determined based upon interest and power building, so please complete this form if you would be interested in a future cohort near you.
