Section 5: Safeguarding
Your role with SUMT will mean working closely with children and young people, and possibly with vulnerable adults. This means you will be exempt from the “Rehabilitation of offenders act 1974” and will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure (a D.B.S. form). If you are a successful candidate we will send you the form, and acceptance on the programme is dependent on this document. SU has a policy on employing people with a criminal record (available on request), and past convictions do not necessarily exclude you from a post.
