Dr. Mary Beth Hueste is Professor in the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University (TAMU). She joined TAMU in 1998 where she is a member of the structural engineering faculty. Dr. Hueste conducts research focused on earthquake resistant design of reinforced concrete structures, performance-based seismic design, design and evaluation of prestressed concrete bridge structures, and assessment of aging and historic infrastructure. She is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the recipient of the ACI Delmar L. Bloem Distinguished Service Award for her Chairmanship of ACI Committee 352: Joints and Connections in Monolithic Concrete Structures from 2009-2016. A registered professional engineer in Kansas and Texas, Dr. Hueste worked with Black & Veatch in Kansas City as a structural engineer for over five years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University, a Master of Science degree from the University of Kansas, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, all in Civil Engineering.
