What do you consider to be the best solutions for FAiR to advocate to restore your quality of life?
Check your top three choices
Keep all runways, including all diagonal runways, open and operational.
A more equitable distribution of takeoffs and departures as reasonable, day and night.
Make “Fly Quiet,” a program that promotes flying over less residential areas, O’Hare’s official mandatory policy.
Conduct a new Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) to verify what the actual, lived environmental impacts are from the new configuration.
Expand noise monitoring and abatement (sound-proofing) programs.
Lower noise (DNL) standards.
Steep angle take-offs, as done at Orange County-John Wayne airport, and/or Optimized Profile Descent (OPD) to reduce noise and fuel consumption on landings, as done at LAX.
Have you had to alter your daily activities day or night due to significant airplane noise (relocate where you sleep, spend less time outdoors, keep windows closed?)
If yes, please explain.
Do you believe your property values are being negatively impacted by the shift in flight patterns over your neighborhood?
Are you considering moving as a result of the flight pattern changes?
Are you a FAiR member?
