Individuals who want to serve as an Election Worker must be registered to vote in Tarrant County and can serve at any Polling Center throughout the County.
This is a compensated position. Note: Payments will be paid through CornerStone Staffing two to three weeks after the Election.
Presiding Judge ($18 per hour) - will serve in a supervisory position from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm during Election Day to ensure that all individuals are given the opportunity to vote and that that vote takes place in a safe environment.
Alternate Judge ($15 per hour) - will assist the Presiding Judge prior to polls opening, after polls close and, serve in the capacity of a Clerk the remainder of the day. It is preferred that the Alternate Judge serve from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm, but at the discretion of the Presiding Judge can serve part of the Election Day.
Clerk ($15 per hour) - under the supervision of the Presiding Judge will set-up equipment and signs prior to opening, assist the voter as they move through the voting experience and take down equipment and signs after poll closes. High School Students can serve as a Clerk. The
Student Election Clerk Application and Permission Form has to be signed by parent/guardian and School Principals prior to being assigned.
Training for New Presiding and Alternate Judges will be provided by Tarrant County Democratic Party. This training is not compensated but is needed to ensure a good election experience at your first assignment.
Tarrant County Elections provides Equipment Training to all Workers prior to their first Election. Must work Election Day in order to receive compensation.
