Coastal Cleanup Day 2019Saturday, September 21st from 9:00am-Noon
This year, we wanted to reach out to the SLO community to allow YOU to propose and host your own cleanup sites to get volunteers involved in. ECOSLO will handle all marketing, recruitment and coordination of volunteers. You will simply propose a new site, and if selected, work with ECOSLO leading up to Coastal Cleanup Day to communicate with volunteers and then manage the site that day. If you've worked with us as a Coastal Cleanup Day site captain/host in the past, think of the setup similar to that.
If you have a new cleanup site in mind please consider submitting a site proposal to be involved with this years Coastal Cleanup Day. Please read the project proposal guidelines listed below.
New Site Proposal Guidelines:-- Please ensure that the site that you're proposing isn't already a Coastal Cleanup Day site. Check www.ecoslo.org/coastal-cleanup-day to see current cleanup sites-- We are looking for a variety of locations across SLO County, including inland and coastal opportunities. -- Cleanup sites can range from a minimum of 5 volunteers to a maximum of 30 volunteers.-- Projects must take place within SLO County-- Projects must be submitted for review by ECOSLO staff no later than March 30, 2019.
Please keep in mind that new site proposals *must* be submitted for approval and while we'd love to support everyone, we won't be able to support every site proposed, thus not all sites are guaranteed to be chosen.
If you have any questions, please reach out to ECOSLO anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at (805) 544-1777. Please keep in mind we are typically in the office Tuesdays - Fridays.
Thank you and we're looking forward to your participation in this years Coastal Cleanup Day!
