Support MCC Youth Council's Campaign: Revitalize the City Heights Urban Village

City Heights lacks the amount of park space required based on population. The quality of our parks is also lacking. We are running a campaign to revitalize the Officer Jeremy Henwood Memorial Park located next to the City Heights Recreation Center; in the area know as the "City Heights Urban Village." This is one of the most utilized parks in our community!

We need the City of San Diego to allocate $1M dollars for the project to:
  • Add 15 tress along Fairmount Ave
  • Add 3 shade structures, plus tables and benches
  • Upgrade both playgrounds to meet National Playground Safety Institute (NPSI) Standards
  • Add swings, spring riders, and rubber grounds
  • Update the bathrooms for cleanliness and safety
  • Update the grass
  • Add hydration stations
  • Add trash and recycling bins
  • Add 8 light stands
