Request to Register - Living Our Values: Supervision and Feedback, Self-Paced Course  

Supervisors play a critical role in creating supportive, growth-oriented environments for staff working in domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking organizations. Living Our Values: Supervision and Feedback is a self-paced online course designed to introduce the fundamentals of supportive supervision. 

Participants will learn strategies to lead with empathy, authenticity, and a commitment to shared values, acting as advocates for staff, investing in their professional development and sustainability, and serving as a resource as they navigate the challenges of supporting survivors.  Supportive supervision and professional growth strengthen staff capacity to prevent and respond to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. 

Course Modules: 

Module 1: What is supervision? 

Module 2: Effective Supervisory Relationships

Module 3: Accountable and Situational Leadership

Module 4: Giving and Receiving Generative Feedback

Conclusion: Start/Stop/Continue 

While this course offers a starting point, it is only the beginning—ongoing training, self-reflection, and intentional growth are essential to becoming the kind of supervisor your team needs.

The self-paced training modules include a series of interactive skill building opportunities, a workbook and resources. Each of the four modules will take approximately one hour to complete. 

All OVW grantees and potential grantees are eligible to participate in the course. If you meet this criteria and complete this request to register, you will receive a link to the course. Please do not share the course link -- if you want to share the course with others, direct them to fill out this form for their own link.  

Certificates of participation will be provided to those that complete the course and fill out an evaluation form.

This course includes interactive whiteboards where you'll be invited to share reflections and ideas. These whiteboards will be visible to all participants, and we will periodically refresh or clear them. You will also have access to a private personal worksheet that only you can see.
