Nomination Form: The Jules and Regulations Award of Recognition and Bursary
The Jules and Regulations Award of Recognition was developed in 2017 to honour the many contributions that Jules has made to officiating, mentoring, and increasing gender diversity within officiating. The intent of this annual award and bursary is to help carry on the work that Jules has done over the years in these areas.

This award will be given out annually at the Tri-City Roller Derby "Put Up Your Toques" tournament in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The award will include a Certificate of Recognition as well as a cash bursary to help offset the costs of travel, equipment, training clinics, or other expenses chosen by the recipient.

The recipient of the award must be a female-identifying official and will be chosen based upon the following criteria:
* Demonstrated excellence in or dedication to officiating (either as a referee or an NSO)
* Demonstrated mentorship and encouragement of other female-identifying officials

We are looking forward to receiving and will consider nominations from all around the derbyverse, but hope to select this year's recipient from officials who will be working at Put Up Your Toques. (After all, what is more fun than being able to give an award to someone who's already in the arena?) Here's an application form for the tournament:

Please note: this award is not designed to recognize those female-identifying officials who have already "made it" in the sport (you know, the ones who have already achieved high levels of certification and who have been selected to work Playoffs year after year). Instead we are trying to recognize those who might have flown under the radar for some time.

Please answer the following questions to nominate an official or to be considered for this award. This form must be received by Noon EST on April 1, 2018, to be considered (and yes, we know that this application closes after the tournament application does).
