Media Tools for NGO Staff Members

A good media content, such as photographs and videos, not only helps the organisation build its image and reputation positively but also plays an important role while approaching for funding.

The intention of this 3-day media tools workshop is to help the participants identify the potential and opportunities of using a visual content. Such content in form of photographs and small videos can be created using digital cameras, mobiles phone and similar digital equipment.

The aim of the workshop is to train the participants to use these digital tools efficiently to create a good content. The participants are also provided with adequate knowledge of writing, photo editing and social media in order to present the created content effectively.

1. Individual teams from the NGOs to receive separate attention
2. The participants will be shown different examples of documentation projects.
3. The participants will be taught how to use the digital recording equipments such as dSLRs and other simple digital cameras, mobile phone camera for both videos and photographs, audio tools and other accessories.
4. Learning to use the social media effectively to showcase the photographs and videos is part of the program.
5. How to edit, caption, keywords, write emails and manage communication for funding proposals utilizing the visual content.
6. Mobile Phone Photography and creation of small videos for promotional activities.
7. Basic Training in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
8. The workshop participants will learn to effectively, sensitively engage in ethical limits with the subjects and issues in order to create good visual content.

Fees: Rs. 9750/- per participant
