WHAT:  The Recognizing Inspirational School Employees (RISE) Award recognizes excellence exhibited by classified school employees who provide exemplary services to students.

WHO QUALIFIES: Classified school employees of a state or any political subdivision of a state, or an employee of a nonprofit entity, who works in any grade from pre-kindergarten through high school in any of the following occupational specialties: paraprofessional, clerical and administrative services, transportation services, food and nutrition services, custodial and maintenance services, security services, health and student services, technical services, and skilled trades.  

Nominees must illustrate excellence in the following areas:
• Work Performance
• School and Community Involvement
• Leadership and Commitment
• Local Support (Co-workers, administrators, community members)
• Enhancement of Classified School Employees Work and Image

WHO CAN SUBMIT: Public School Districts, Private Schools, Educational Cooperatives, Education Organizations, Professional Organizations, Labor Organizations, Nonprofit Entities, Parents, Students

Each organization can submit up to two nominees for consideration.

Deadline to nominate: Oct. 2, 2025
