GRJ Intern Application 2018
Girls Rock Jacksonville’s Summer Camp is a week long program that aims to empower girls and trans youth through music education, DIY media, and creative collaboration. During the week campers take instrument lessons, write original songs in a band with other campers under the guidance of a band coach, and participate in daily workshops and assemblies. Interns will participate in some of these activities and also have opportunities to take on leadership roles throughout the week. This may include co-teaching instrument classes or workshops, setting up gear throughout the day, helping with morning and afternoon assemblies, and more!

Girls Rock Jacksonville 2018 will take place from July 23rd ~ July 27th at Unitarian Universalist Church at 7405 Arlington Expy from 9am to 5pm each day, with the camper showcase on Saturday, July 28th. Showcase time and location is TBA!

Are you between the ages of 16-19? Do you want to help teach an instrument at camp? Lead a workshop about arts & activism? Do you want to act out skits at morning assembly or help emcee the Showcase event? Let us know what you have to share! Interns will also have the option to form a band and perform in the final showcase!

There is no tuition fee for being an intern. However, if you and your family would like to make a donation to our scholarship fund, this will assist Girls Rock Jacksonville in making sure our camp is accessible to all campers who would like to attend. All donations to Girls Rock Jacksonville are tax-deductible.

**There are very limited number of spots in the intern program. So, depending on the volume of applicants, there is a chance we will ask applicants to apply as a camper (ages 16-17) or as a volunteer (ages 18+)**
