Room for Healing: Exploring Racialized Trauma- Small Group Sign-Up
(UPDATE: Our current groups have been filled, but if you are interested in a future group offering, please complete this form and we'll be in touch. Thanks.)
Thank you for your interest in attending a "Room for Healing" small group, designed to deepen our personal and collective work in exploring and healing from the trauma of white-body supremacy. We will be guided by Resmaa Menakem's book: My Grandmother's Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies. We're excited to share this powerful resource with the congregation. The small groups will be offered by racial affinity group and will include up to 8 people per group. They will run for seven weeks, beginning July 18th through the first week of September (ending before Labor Day Weekend). Please complete the following details, and we will do our best to accommodate your meeting preference.

For those that identify as Black or a person of color, the meeting days and times will be determined by your affinity group. We will be in touch with all BIPOC who express interest with more details.
Thank you! We will contact you soon with more details. UUCM does have a few copies of the book available for purchase. Please note that reading before we start meeting is encouraged but not required. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Swick at dre@uucmtka.org.
