The scholarships are in memory of Otis Chandler, a world class track & field athlete, and early advocate of strength training and USA Olympic Team qualifier who rose to journalistic acclaim as publisher of the Los Angeles Times. A lifelong health and fitness aficionado, he often cited the lessons learned as student-athlete for his personal and professional success.
Details of Scholarship:- $3,000 per year- Renewable for two years
Requirements to be eligible: - Attend and graduate from a Santa Cruz County high school.- Must have track & field or cross country high school running experience. - Must have been accepted into a two or four-year institution of higher learning.- Must have a commitment of lifetime fitness.
