Thank you for your interest in being a part of the Scottish Wild Food Festival 2026 at Tir na nOg! Our volunteers are key to the successful running of the event, and we really value your contribution.
For a weekend ticket to the festival, we ask that weekend volunteers complete 2 half-day shifts (approx 4 hours each) over the course of the weekend. We can also organise lifts from Balfron if you're coming by public transport, a meal voucher on your work day, and an invite to the festival firepit session on the Saturday evening. Ideally you'll be able to volunteer on both Saturday & Sunday, but if you can only make one day, we'd still love to have you!
We also have a small number of spaces for volunteers to help with the set up of the site in the weeks and months before the festival, which would get you your ticket to the festival, plus food when you're working, and an invite to the Saturday firepit session during the festival weekend. These site prep sessions would take place on Tuesdays (10-4) in August / early September and will include various tasks associated with helping to restore the grounds of the Grade B listed buildings that make up the site.
Weekend volunteers should come to site on Friday evening, attend a briefing, and settle in and get to know the place before starting shifts on Saturday. But we understand that folks may be coming from work, so if you can't come till later just let us know!
