Czech Red Cross Volunteer Carer Course IN ENGLISH
This Saturday, the Czech Red Cross agreed to run their course with our interpreter, so expat volunteers could join the efforts. If you have the time and the willingness to help in these trying times, grab this unique opportunity!
The "Carer in Reserve" volunteer course will be exceptionally held in English and free of charge this time.
What will you learn: Patient rights, ethics, communication, hygiene, bed preparation, diet, patient positioning, protective aids
What will you get: A certificate of the Czech Red Cross, which entitles you to work as auxiliary staff in medical facilities, social services and also to take care of a relative when necessary.
The minimum number of participants is 8, maximum 24 people. (Please be responsible and only register if you really plan to participate; if you have to cancel, please let us know soon so that we can find a replacement.)
The course and certificate do not automatically mean securing the position of a volunteer, but are necessary for qualified assistance in medical or social facilities (during COVID and beyond).
The course is presented by the Czech Red Cross in cooperation with Ivo Válka from the Uniqa insurance company. Interpretation and organization is provided by the Brno Expat Centre.
21 November 2020. Secondary Medical School, Grohova 14.
