TWENTY ONE SIXTY FIVE Participant EOIs
We are currently preparing for a script development for Jules Orcullo's new play Twenty One Sixty Five. The development is taking place as part of Q Theatre's QLAB residency at The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in January 2019. Twenty One Sixty Five is a supernatural, domestic, two-hander which explores folk and faith healing, modern psychology, and Filipinx diaspora experience in Western Sydney. We are looking for 5 pairs of parents and their adult children based in Western Sydney to participate in interviews that will inform the direction of the work.

Pairs should consist of: one young person between 16 and 30, and one parent between 50 and 70. The 44 year age gap between the characters TWENTY ONE and SIXTY FIVE is an integral relationship dynamic within the play therefore EOIs from performers within these broad age categories.

We are looking specifically for participants who identify as Filipinx, or have ancestry or strong connection to the Philippines. We are also looking specifically for wom*n, femme, trans, or non-binary people, based in or who have strong connection to Western Sydney. We'll be in touch with all respondees who submit EOIs before 15 December. Approx commitment will be 2 half-day sessions between 4 January and 18 January. Participation is unpaid but please advise us if this would hinder your participation in the project.
