Datchet Parish Council Environmental Survey
Welcome to the first survey organised by Datchet Parish Council’s Environmental Awareness Working Group. We would like to find out what you think we could all be doing to improve our local environment and hear your ideas for community projects which could be supported by the Parish Council.

Encourage people to walk and cycle and leave their cars at home
Support the creation of more safe cycle routes
Install bicycle parking in the village
Push for improvements to public transport
Install signs to request engines are turned off while waiting at the level crossings
Request signage to route traffic to Windsor from the M4 via Junction 6 and not through Datchet
Reduce speed limits throughout the village to make it safer for cyclists and pedestrians
Give priority to pedestrians and cyclists over motor vehicles

Help residents source information about 100% renewable home energy suppliers
Share information about how solar panels and/or heat pumps might help to reduce energy bills
Promote energy-saving practices such as turning off lights and appliances when not in use, and reducing thermostat temperatures if health allows
Recommend that the energy ratings of home appliances such as light bulbs, vacuum cleaners, etc, are considered before purchase.
Support the repair, recycle and reuse of consumer products, where possible
