Kumusta / Hello,
Across Australia, Filipino world-builders continue to contribute to the wider arts & culture ecology. We create art, produce shows, scribe poetry and songs, experiment, collectivise, sustain communities—the list goes on! Barkada Index is an open-access list for the Filipino diaspora to connect, amplify talent, discover similar interests, and share work. It also surveys some of the creative Filipinos who make up the fifth-largest migrant community in Australia.
You're invited to join this database if you are:
- of Filipino ancestry and living and/or working in Australia;
- you are practising across visual art, writing, creative cooking, publishing, performance, theatre, music, dance, architecture, organising, cultural development (or any practice mainly anchored by creative processes).
