2026-2027 High School Credit Electives
All high school classes will be on your high school transcript. This means that when you start applying for colleges your senior year of high school, these classes and the final averages will be on the transcript you send to colleges.

General Information: Teacher recommendation is required.

Concert Band (1 Credit) - This is for students who were in seventh grade band last year. Eighth grade band is Concert Band.

Personal Fitness and Health (1 Credit Combined)  - Each class is a separate course. You must take both in order for them to transfer correctly to high school.

Introduction to Business and Technology (1 Credit)   - This course is a prerequisite (required) for several other courses you will be able to take in high school. In other words, you have to have this course before you can take others.

Spanish I (1 Credit) - Students going straight from high school to a four year college are required to have two courses in a world language, so Spanish I and Spanish II would fulfill this requirement.

Visual Arts/Comprehensive I (Art) (1 Credit) - This course is a prerequisite (required) for several other art classes. In other words, you have to take this one first.

Weight Training (1 Credit) -  Athletes on NMS athletic teams will be given priority.

***We will do our best to give you the classes you ask for; however, some may not fit into your schedule. Make sure you choose classes in the order that you would like to have them.

THESE CLASSES ARE FOR HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT! Your grade will appear on your high school transcript. In other words, they will show up on transcripts for colleges.
