Muir Peer Program Application
The Muir Peer Program is a nonacademic mentorship program coordinated by Muir College Student Affairs. Mentees and Mentors will be matched based on their similar interests and goals. We will try our best to match you with a mentor/mentee with multiple common interests. However, due to the number of participants, this may not be possible.

Mentors will help mentees adjust to life at UCSD by being there should the mentee have any needs or concerns. This is a purely voluntary program, and a great way to enhance your college experience.

You will be contacted with your mentor/mentee's information by September 22, 2017. Mentors should reach out to their mentees within 48 hours. After the kick-off event, it will be up to each pairing to schedule times to meet up throughout the quarter.

The Muir Student Affairs Intern is the coordinator of this program and can be reached by email at muirsatemp2@ucsd.edu. Please be aware that this student will not begin work until September 18, so emails may go unanswered until then.

What is a mentor?
A mentor is a continuing Muir College student who is willing to go the extra mile for an incoming freshman/transfer. They are willing to be a friend, guide, and help answer any questions their mentee has. Most importantly, mentors serve as a role model and resource.
