2025 Handmade Christmas ornament swap
Hello, crafty-ish friends! Please sign up here for a handmade Christmas ornament swap. All are welcome! This year's details person is Gena / velocibadgergirl and mailing person is Emily S. / pantalonesfuego

How it works:

Every participant makes one type of handmade ornament in a set of 11. So if you choose to make a snowflake, you would make 11 snowflakes. (It does not need to be made of felt. See below for guidelines.)

In mid-November, you mail 11 ornaments to us.

When you mail in your ornaments, please also send in $12 to cover the costs of shipping materials and postage back to you. We welcome Canadian/international participants and can generally ship to you for the $12, but please do send yours in on time/early because it can be S-L-O-W.

We will send you back an assortment of 10 unique ornaments, including one of your own.

Why just 10, if you are making 11? We've developed a nice little tradition of sending out an extra batch or two of ornaments to someone who might need holiday cheer. It's become one of our favorite parts of this activity, so thank you in advance for making an extra. If you know of someone who might enjoy receiving ornaments, let us know.

In early December, you'll get 10 unique handmade ornaments in the mail to hang wherever you'd like. That's really it! (more details and examples below - scroll down)

Ornament Details:
--For the past few years we allowed materials beyond felt, and I think we all loved it. Let's do it again!

Please remember that we want to keep shipping easy and cheap, so keep your ornaments LIGHTWEIGHT and NOT FRAGILE. Can they be put in a ziploc bag, a poly mailer, and shipped for a couple of bucks? If yes, then go for it!

--General size is 3" to 5" in height or width, and include a loop to hang the ornament from.

--Lots of photos below to see what people have made in the past!

--Feel free to share your progress with the tag #ornamentswap on twitter
Timeline:
November 1 - Sign up deadline. Feel free to sign up early and get crafting though! Once signups are closed, I will email all participants Emily S.’s mailing address as well as her PayPal so that it's not posted publicly on the internet.

November 22 - Deadline to mail ornaments + $12 to Emily S.

Around Dec 8 - Emily S. will put them in the mail back to you.

Contact me through facebook or blue sky, or at gena.garrett at gmail.com with any questions. Thanks!
