Participants will play the role of "learner" as they take part in activities aligned to the NGSS Content Standards in MS related to Evolutionary Biology. They will also learn about the free instructional resources available through the Teacher Institute for Evolutionary Science (TIES). Participating teachers will:

 Participate in a presentation filled with useful classroom resources on evolutionary science, by Melanie Fernandes, Curator of Education and Corey Shumaker, Program Coordinator, Capron Park Zoo
 Have time to take a closer look at valuable online tools and effective hands-on activities
 Receive several classroom resources free-of-charge (PowerPoints, labs, exam and exam reviews)
 Learn exciting programs Capron Park zoo offers that align with the curriculum
 Meet LIVE animal ambassadors
