2018-2019 HOMESCHOOL INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT (HIS) CLASSES STUDY HALL REGISTRATION FORM
Please complete the following form to register your student for Study Hall. Students must be mature enough to follow all of the rules set forth in the 2018-2019 Parent Student Agreement as well as any additional requirements on this form during their time in Study Hall. HIS Classes Study Hall is available 15 minutes before the first class starts each day until 12:00 Noon and is for QUIET studying/reading; talking/quiet visiting will be allowed at the discretion of the monitor/teacher. Food and Drink as well as cell phone use of any kind ARE NOT allowed in the Sanctuary portion of Study Hall. Students should bring books to read or homework to work on during this time. iPods/cell phones will be allowed for use while studying in the FOYER/CAFETERIA ONLY but headphones must be used and may NOT be shared with other students. Sound should not be audible to the next student and monitors may ask that the music, etc. be turned down. iPod/phone may be confiscated for the remainder of the day if a student does not abide by this rule. Laptops are allowed for doing a student's own homework only, no movies or internet surfing during this time and NO sharing laptops without express permission from the monitor/teacher on duty in Study Hall. Cell phones are not to be used for calls, texting, viewing social media of any kind or as a calculator or a textbook or Bible during Study Hall and repeat offenders may have their phones confiscated for the remainder of the day. This is individual study time. Students who continually disrespect the monitor/teacher in Study Hall or do not obey the rules will be given a Conduct Notice and/or asked to call their parents to pick them up. As long as there is room, parents may wait with/without their other children for siblings who are in a class but they must follow the same rules as registered students. Study Hall is not for students to "hang out" indefinitely after their classes are finished for the day. Students should not arrive more than 15 minutes before their first class begins and should not stay more than 15 minutes after their last class ends unless they are waiting on a sibling or a ride with a fellow student. Visitors to the campus including former HIS Classes students must sign in with one of the monitors upon arrival. All students should be picked up before 4:30 pm when monitors will be leaving campus. No student may remain on campus after that time. Emergency contact numbers are available on the HIS Classes website in case an unforeseen event keeps you from picking up your student by this time.
