The Līhuʻe Placemaking, Forestry & Gardens Initiative is a two-year effort to build valued community green spaces in Līhuʻe and develop a shared vision for future green infrastructure along Rice Street. The project is being spearheaded by the Rice Street Business Association and Better Block Hawaiʻi. This team is working hand-in-hand with local artists and community organizations, such as Kauaiʻi Farm Planning and Solid Ground Connections, to design and implement the project.
We’re seeking volunteers to help steward Līhuʻe's new community gardens and street trees. If interested, please complete the form below, and our team will reach out to you soon with more details.
Volunteer work days are held the 4th Saturday of every month, from 7 to 10AM. Volunteers should meet in front of 808 Truck Rentals (4181 Rice St, Līhuʻe). Volunteers will help to build and expand the "Right on Rice Urban Farm and Community Garden" . Please wear closed toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. If you miss us at the Park, just walk down to 808. See you there!
