Join us for another opportunity to Feed the Hood-- giving back to our unhoused brothers and sisters across Oakland by preparing and distributing bag lunches and hygiene kits. This Feed the Hood is in partnership with Black Joy Parade and sponsored by Abbott.
**Event is family friendly (kids of all ages welcome to attend with their parent(s) or guardian).
**Coffee/tea and continental breakfast will be served for volunteers.
**Venue is wheelchair accessible.

Our goal is to provide 3,000 lunches and hygiene kits to our unhoused brothers and sisters, under-resourced families and those in need. Please review ALL donation options and select ALL the items you can contribute and bring with you the morning of the event.
Option 1: $$ // I would like to make a monetary donation to assist with the pre-purchasing of food and hygiene kit items. Suggested donation is $25 or more ($25 = 10 lunches).

Option 2: FOOD // I can bring one or more of the food items listed below (check ALL that apply). Total quantities needed are listed to help meet our goal of providing 3,000 lunches! Note: we encourage purchases to be as organic, nitrate free, non-GMO, etc. as possible.
Cases of water (total quantity needed: 125 cases)
Boxed drinks (total quantity needed: 300 boxes- 10+ count box)
Boxes of granola bars (total quantity needed: 300 boxes)
Bags of variety chips (total quantity needed: 100 packages- 30 count bag)
Sandwich lettuce (leaves please, no heads of lettuce or shredded)
For the pets: dry dog food (portions pre-bagged in sandwich or quart sized bags)
Option 3: HYGIENE KITS // I can bring one or more of the following items (check ALL that apply):
Toilet Tissue Rolls
Hand sanitizer (mini/small bottles)
Baby Wipes (travel size or divided/pre-bagged in sandwich bags)
Mouthwash (travel/mini size)
Socks (total quantity need: 2,000 pairs)
Feminine hygiene items: tampons, pads

Feed the Hood caravans are an important part of the event-- led by caravan ambassadors (trained volunteers), caravan drivers (valid license, car registration up-to-date) and passengers distribute the bag lunches and hygiene kits to encampments on designated routes across Oakland between 9:30 AM - 12 noon or later. We encourage you to take part in this experience!
**This info is to only collect interest in number of caravan drivers and riders. You will be directed to register upon arrival on morning of the event.
