Physics education continues to be an essential component of science programming (K-12) and beyond. Advances in technology today have not only changed the way we live, but have also provided opportunities to question, explore, discover and create innovations in science that continue to inspire us. Physics educators play a key role in the development of the next generation of great thinkers, innovators and entrepreneurs. OAPT works to inspire physics educators in order to support the development of 21st century skills in students. Teachers need inspiration in order to inspire students!
The Ontario Association of Physics Teachers provides workshops, supports local Physics Teacher events, organizes and runs the Annual OAPT conference, develops and administers a Physics Contest for grade 11 students, publishes a newsletter and offers a summer camp for Physics Teachers. The many programs we offer would not be possible without support from organizations such as yours.
I would like to invite you to support our many initiatives. The OAPT provides teacher resources, an annual conference, Grade 11 student contest and local physics teacher workshops. In return, your support will be clearly indicated on our website, at our conference, and on any publications. Tax creditable receipts will be issued for donations.
I thank you for taking the time to consider supporting OAPT. Please contact me to discuss how our organizations might work together to improve physics teaching and learning in Ontario.
