The Darrin Grogan "Carry the Flame" Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Darrin, "Uncle" as he was called by many. As a way to remember Darrin, we are having a t-shirt fundraiser. The profit from every shirt sold will go directly into the scholarship fund that will be awarded every year to a graduating high school Arkansas gymnastics senior. Carry the Flame is a phrase that embodies both of Darrin's greatest passions in life: gymnastics and firefighting. He believed in the discipline, resilience, and character, that gymnastics built in young men. As a firefighter, he carried courage into the hardest moments. He ran towards danger when others ran away. Helping people, when they needed it most, was simply who he was. So as we Carry the Flame and remember Darrin, let us not forget to build others up just like Darrin did for so many.
