The Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce is honored and proud to invite you to participate in a cultural visit on October 18, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm. 

Chiang Mai is an ancient town with a long history and boasts various artistic and cultural styles. We are delighted to present you with a taste of the unique art and culture that can be found in the City and invite you to choose one of the two options presented below.

On arrival in Bo Sang, head to the Umbrella Making Centre where you can watch artisans at work in an outdoor area. Informative displays and guides will help to explain each part of the umbrella making process. From the crafting of the bamboo frames to the waterproofing techniques used on the cover, it’s fascinating to see how much work and attention goes into making each individual umbrella.
