March 27-30 we invite you to stand with 12 of the 198 amazing people who heeded the call to bold and determined climate action and blockaded construction on the West Roxbury Lateral high-pressure fracked gas pipeline. This will be the first climate necessity case in the United States in two years, and climate champions and experts, including Bill McKibben and Dr. James Hansen, are planning to testify to make the case that we are in an emergency, and emergency measures - even if they break existing law - are justified in order to prevent a greater harm.
Trials can be unpredictable, and we want to make sure you get updates about schedule changes, recaps of each day with a preview of the next, requests from the defendants, general logistics, and rules of this particular courthouse. If you hope to come in-person for one or more days (or if you hope to support actively from afar), please complete this form.
You will receive full logistical information after completing this form. The courthouse is located a block away from the Forest Hills Station on the Orange line at 445 Arborway, Jamaica Plain, Boston.
Check out the website (with defendant bios and more) at www.climatedisobedience.org/west_roxbury
Expected email frequency: 2-3 messages per week until trial, one or two per day during trial, and a final wrap-up email.
