The National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) Challenge is to reach a quota of 50,000 words in their novel by the end of the month.  The organization's website has a ton of resources, tools and information about the challenge, both for adults and for young people.  Our library will be tapping into these resources throughout November.

The Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights is participating in 2020's challenge as a virtual program, highlighting their Author's and Writer's Group.  Members of the group will be presented on the library's web page devoted to the NaNoWriMo Challenge as well provide advice and inspiration for their work through out the month.  We are opening this event to the whole public.  No experience is necessary and there will be no pressure to complete the challenge.  Just sign up and give it your all!

Submission and return of this form will be viewed as a registration for the event.  Staff are expecting to send frequent emails to all participants, to help setup, to encourage, and to help in their progress.  At the end of the challenge, we ask all participants to fill out an evaluation survey on the program.  

Participants at any time have the right to opt out of the challenge and request termination of contact at any time.
