Our Freedom of Information findings show that Enfield Council invests more than £53 million of workers' pension funds in companies complicit in human rights violations, apartheid and genocide in Palestine. This includes companies supplying weapons and military technology to Israel, used in its devastating attacks on Palestinians and companies that do business with/or in the illegal Israeli settlements in Occupied Palestine or provide the infrastructure for the illegal occupation.
We the undersigned Enfield Council residents, students, workers and trades unionists, call on Enfield Council Pension Fund committee to:
1. Divest all Local Government Pension Scheme funds from companies complicit in Israel’s violations of human rights and International Law including the genocide, apartheid and illegal occupation of the Palestinian people.
2. Use its influence as part of the London Collective Investment Vehicle (CIV) to publicly lobby it to divest from companies enabling Israel's human rights abuses.
3. Commit to ending procurement contracts with companies complicit in Israel’s attacks.
