Students for Education in Pennsylvania: District Representative Nomination Form
***Note for administrators: Once completing this form, nominated students will serve for the 2024-2025 school year and all of their remaining years in high school. However, to become a part of the program, they must fill out this form so that we have their contact information***
To the District Representative Nominees,
Every March, the Pennsylvania State Board of Education-- in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils-- selects one rising junior to serve a two-year term as a Student Representative to the State Board of Education. The primary responsibility of this position is to relay student perspectives at State Board meetings. In the past, Student Representatives have met with small groups of student stakeholders; however, we, as the current Junior and Senior Student Representatives to the Board of Education, want to expand that network to better amplify student voice at the state level!
In order to accomplish our mission, we feel it is necessary to connect with dedicated students from across the Commonwealth, like yourself! Your respective superintendent, or school administrator, has recognized you as a student who would add value to our mission and nominated you to serve in this system. Therefore, we would like to welcome you into our program: Students for Education in Pennsylvania (SEPA)!
To clarify: By completing this form, you are accepting your position in SEPA, and committing to serve at least one school year in SEPA. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Your Student Representatives,
Senior Representative, Aarushi Dedhiya (sbe2025@pasc.net)
Junior Representative, Naina Bhatia (sbe2026@pasc.net)
