Pyron CUBS/Kraus Panthers Robotics Team Application

Greetings students and parents!
We are excited to inform you that we are now accepting applications for the 2018-19 Pyron CUBS/Kraus Panthers Robotics Team. The team will meet often after school for building and practice. During competition season, our teams will be required to meet more often including some Saturdays. We are looking for 24 students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 who demonstrate teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, and commitment.

Each candidate must complete and return this application form online by Friday, September 7, 2018, 2:30 PM.

1. 3rd-6th grade students may apply.
2. Last year’s team members must reapply.
3. No applications will be accepted after Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:30PM.

The completed application must include:

1. A fully completed online application and student-created responses (given at school)
2. The completed participation agreement

All applications packets will be reviewed by the Pyron CUBS/Kraus Panthers Robotics Team committee. The committee will consider a combination of factors including thoroughness in completing the application packet, student response to the essay question, substantive response to the application questions and parental involvement. Up to 24 students will be invited to join the Pyron CUBS/Kraus Panthers Robotics Team, and email or a letter will notify their parents.

Pyron/Kraus Robotics Team Participation Agreement--Parent and Student: Please review and check the requirements below confirming that each will abide by them if selected to be a member of the team.
Student required submissions--All students applying will be asked to complete the following at school as a part of the application process: Three favorite hobbies, favorite subject/why, two examples of robotics in the community, and a one page report explaining why he/she wants to be a part of the Pyron CUBS/Kraus Panthers Robotics Team.
