Team 2481 is a FIRST Robotics team out of Tremont, IL that competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition. FIRST is a non-profit organization, which promotes science and technology. We are a community based team and accept public, private, and home school students. We have been in existence for 15 years and have done extraordinary things in that time. Students will work with engineers and professionals from local companies and businesses to design and build a 125 lb. robot, develop/lead outreach activities for local communities, and complete team award submissions. We have activities and meet year round; however, the build-season starts in early January and goes until our first competition in March. During this time, students are required to put in 12+ hours a week. The team travels extensively during the competition season, which is March through April (depending on the events the team signs up for and how far we advance). During competition season, students are expected to continue being active members on the team, attend competitions, and attend meetings.
